Something wonderful is coming to Jersey.

A handcrafted miniature world - towns, trains and gardens to explore. Work begins Summer 2026.

A world of its own, right here in Jersey.

Some ideas start as hobbies. The Jersey Model Village started as a garden railway - open days, curious neighbours, children who couldn't quite believe what they were seeing.

There's something about Jersey that makes that kind of magic feel natural. It's that sort of place - unhurried, somewhere that still has room for wonder. A proper model village fits here in a way it wouldn't quite fit anywhere else.

The village itself is a fictional world - miniature towns, working railways, handcrafted landscapes that grow a little every season. The kind of place where you spot something new each visit, and where every adult remembers what it felt like to be small.

FAQs

What is the model village?

A handcrafted outdoor attraction - a fictional miniature world of towns, railways and detailed landscapes that you can walk around and explore. Think Bekonscot or Babbacombe, but in Jersey. The kind of place where you come back and always find something new.

When will it open to the public?

We're aiming for something in 2026, subject to planning. Sign up to the mailing list and you'll hear as soon as we have a date confirmed.

Is this just for tourists, or is it for locals too?

Very much both — and honestly, locals are who we're building it for first. We're planning local pricing, seasonal passes, and school visits. This is somewhere families can come back to again and again, not just somewhere to take visitors once.

Where will the model village be located?

The proposed site is in St John — well located and accessible from across the island. We're currently working through the planning process and will share more detail once we have approval.

What will there be to see and do?

Miniature buildings, working trains, handcrafted landscapes and — we hope — a few surprises along the way. The village will grow every season, so there'll always be something new. We're also planning a small café and interactive areas for younger visitors.

How can I support the project?

The most helpful thing right now is joining the mailing list. It shows there's genuine local appetite for this, which matters as we go through planning. If you'd like to get in touch directly, you can reach us through the Contact page.
